"I did flight and ground training with Andy on the turbo Commander. He was organized and delivered the information concisely which led to competency in just a few days. Highly recommend his program."
"Excelente servicio y compromiso por parte de Andy. Logramos concretar el objetivo trazado en 2.5 meses y obtener mi licencia FAA y grandes habilidades de vuelo - lo recomiendo ampliamente. Y trato justo amable, mucho valor por el precio del servicio."
“I paired up with Andy as a flight crew providing aerial supervision over forest fires in Eastern Washington. Andy flew every mission with ease. His attention to detail and ability to put me right over the targets that I needed to see under challenging flight conditions was admirable… one of the best pilots I have been privileged to fly with over the span of 15 years.”
“Andy flew with precision and exceeded expectations of our aerial missions in Arizona and the Pacific Northwest on wildfires in Twin Commanders. Through teamwork, self-motivation, sound judgment and confidence, he worked in sync with air attack experts. Andy is a true pro and certainly raised the bar for other pilots.”
“Andy is a very likable, well prepared, passionate, and capable pilot. A lot of fun to be around. Great to have a pilot that’s like a friend that I trust flying the plane and my family.”
Amazing recurrent training! Andy is very professional and great instructor.
“Cool guy to be around and fly with. Andy does an excellent job giving instruction and helps me become more confident with IFR operations and procedures in my twin commander.”
I am walking away with the knowledge and confidence that I can fly and handle the plane effectively and efficiently. Andy knows the plane inside and out and is very patient and passionate about passing on that information. His calm demeanour has made the training very enjoyable.
During the 2021 fire season, Andy and I flew ATGS missions in Arizona & Washington. It was Andy's first year in Wildland Fire aviation. He quickly became competent. He's professional, personable, and has excellent pilot skills. His communication ensured smooth Crew Resource Management for ATGS missions. Andy's flexibility and focus on safety were appreciated.
Andy is easy to work with, enjoys flying Commanders, spends time learning about the plane you are flying (as no two Commanders are the same), and is interested in both instructing and learning from his students. You will not find this combination in any other instructor who flies Commanders. He truly is a breath of fresh air.
I really enjoy flying with Andy on a regular basis. His technical knowledge, skill, and enthusiasm have made my training flights and trips both beneficial and enjoyable
Andy’s professionalism and charismatic personality make it a pleasure to fly with him. His piloting expertise and in-depth knowledge of the aircraft make our flights safe and enjoyable. Simply put, Andy has it all when it comes to aviation!
After working with many instructors over the last 49 years, Andy is definitely one of the best. I’m already looking forward to my next Recurrent training with him.
Thanks to Andy for his custom tailored training! His easy going demeanor and knowledge of the plane really make the training a comfortable and smooth process.
Had a great experience during my recurrent and Biennial Fight Review. Andy was very accommodating getting our schedules together. Brought a wealth of knowledge and experience from all the variations of Twin Commanders over the years. Take home exam and ground school really made me get back into the books. Very thorough and well planned flight review. Definitely recommended!
I'm not easily impressed, and I've been flying Commanders for some 30 years, but Andy is one of the most knowledgeable Commander trainers I have the pleasure of working with. Not only his systems knowledge, but also his positive training demeanor. A great combination to say the very least. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for retaining or initial.
Great experience with Andy for an initial course after 10 years away from the Commander. Knowledgeable and straight forward course presentation. I will use Andy’s services again and have already recommended him to another pilot in need of recurrent training.
"Great training. Andy has sage advice and a mentor’s touch. Tailored the flight and ground school to suit the experience level of his audience. His knowledge and teaching are top level."
"Andy is a consummate instructor. He is pleasant, considerate, focused and highly experienced. Recurrent training and IPC currency are educational, a reasonable amount of stress and a memorable experience. Well worth the money. No regrets. I have about 10 years flying 690B and 1000 models with ATP and CFI certificates."
"Thanks for a great recurrent training Andy. I really enjoyed the final exam as well - made me dig to review the systems and research true to life performance scenarios. The flight review was valuable with great pointers and remarks. All in all, I feel sharpened for this next year of flying one of the best birds out there. What a privilege!"
Andy’s a very good instructor. It is enjoyable spending time in the aircraft with someone that can explain the the systems in great detail and answer any questions that arise.
Just finished my Cirrus transition course with Aviation Success! Andy made the process smooth and fun. His Cirrus knowledge is next-level, and the real-world tips made all the difference. If you’re moving up to a Cirrus or want to sharpen your skills, I can’t recommend Aviation Success enough!
My grandson completed his Cirrus transition course with Aviation Success, and I couldn’t be more impressed! Andy was professional, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. My grandson finished the course confident and proficient. I highly recommend Aviation Success to anyone who values safety and top-quality instruction!
I completed my initial training in my Commander 690A with Andy and have since done two annual recurrent training sessions with him. Andy is not only extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled in the Commander, but he’s also an easy-going, enjoyable presence in the right seat. Andy is very good at tailoring the difficulty of each session to your experience level and proficiency in the aircraft. His deep understanding of the Aircraft systems really stands out and gives you confidence in both the training and the airplane.
I’ve trained at several major training centers, but the Commander is an aircraft that cannot be learned in a simulator alone—it requires in-aircraft instruction. After researching Commander-experienced instructors, I chose Andy Goodreau and Aviation Success, and it was the right decision. Andy’s knowledge of the Commander, structured yet flexible training approach, and personal commitment—especially under a tight year-end timeline—set him apart from the “big” training centers. The curriculum is professional, thorough, and tailored to the pilot, with competitive pricing. Having completed my initial training, I can confidently say I could not have chosen a better training provider. Aviation Success is truly focused on pilot success.
