About Andy Goodreau
Andy is a versatile individual with a background in engineering, aviation and business. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota and furthered his horizons with a master's degree in Spanish, embracing different cultures and language fluency. During his time at the university, Andy's fascination with aviation took flight, leading him to obtain his pilot's license and pursue further certifications. Combining his engineering expertise with a master's degree in business administration from Louisiana State University, Andy excelled as an engineer and project manager with Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and Latin America. Earning his flight instructor rating, he found success in teaching aspiring pilots. In 2020, he made a pivoting decision to dedicate himself fully to the world of aviation and grew an adoration for Turbo Commanders while completing missions for the U.S. Department of Interior.
Pathway to Aviation Success
Andy accumulated extensive flight experience, including over 1500 hours of flight instruction and more than 1000 flight hours in turbo commanders. His
expertise now allows him to offer insurance-approved training in turbo commanders, specialize in instrument proficiency and provide bilingual support
internationally. Andy's life exemplifies the impact of following one's passions and embracing diverse opportunities while inspiring others to be successful.

Andy is a great instructor. I have flown my Turbine Commander 900 to 23 countries, 6 continents, and the North and South Poles. I thought I knew the plane pretty well, but Andy was able to teach me a few things that made me an even better pilot. He is easy to work with and I recommend him!

During the 2021 fire season, Andy and I flew ATGS missions in Arizona & Washington. It was Andy's first year in Wildland Fire aviation. He quickly became competent. He's professional, personable, and has excellent pilot skills. His communication ensured smooth Crew Resource Management for ATGS missions. Andy's flexibility and focus on safety were appreciated.
Andy is easy to work with, enjoys flying Commanders, spends time learning about the plane you are flying (as no two Commanders are the same), and is interested in both instructing and learning from his students. You will not find this combination in any other instructor who flies Commanders. He truly is a breath of fresh air.
